July Monthly Recap

I honestly can't believe its August tomorrow! This year just seems to be flying by! This month has been quite a boring month to be honest, especially after last month with all my holidays, though I did get the chance to meet up with my friends and it was mine and Shane's 2 year anniversary :) Hopefully this next month will be quite interesting! We have the bank holiday at the end of the month so I'm trying to plan something we can do for the day as it's mine and Shane's only day off together till december! :(

Fate

It was such a lovely day today! I got so much washing done and sat outside with the chickens :) Poor lenny has something wrong with her eye and has got to the point where she's got no life in her anymore. We've got some eyedrops so hopefully she should be back to her chirpy self soon. I'm so annoyed with how these photos came out and was debating not posting them or saving them for a day when I can't be bothered to go out as a back up plan, but I really like the outfit and the location so I just decided to post them anyway. Hope you don't get blinded by my dress too much haha :)

I saw the dress back in January when I went for my interview at London College of Fashion and snuck off on my break to Oxford Street hehe :) I only had enough money for 2 things so it was between this dress and the top and skirt in this outfit post. I thought about how many times I could remix all three items of clothing and decided it would be best to get the skirt and top. I was so happy when I found this dress in the sale for £10 (I think) when I went shopping in Birmingham a few weeks ago. To top it off, it was the only one - and in my size too! How perfect haha! It's a shame the close up details came out sooo overexposed because it has such cute detailing along the top half. I'll get it next time haha :)

Summer Sunsets

So, today I went to Ikea with my mum! It was so much fun! I get so excited every time I go there - I think it's definately the meatballs and chips haha! And I just love seeing the room setups! Ahh if only Shane and I had our own place - I would be in heaven (and debt) buying everything for the house haha!

After we finished up at Ikea, we went off to the shopping center to find a purse for mum (which she didnt find in the end) and I ended up spending £20 in H&M haha! Though I did get this dress for £14.99! I swear, by the end of the year I will have this dress in every colour available (I already have the black polka dot, white stripe, and the multicoloured floral one). They're just the comfiest and easiest dresses to style! I seriously love them! :)

Anniversary Weekend

Yes, Shane and I had a whole anniversary weekend though it isnt really as exciting as it sounds haha! Because shane works full time during the week and I only work Saturday and Sunday we never get a whole day together so we had to make do with evenings haha! On friday, we went to the cinema to see Horrible Bosses which was hilarious! If you haven't seen it already...go see it! Yesterday I was working all day (though I got sent home from work early as I felt really ill :( so we just chilled watching Whale Wars and eating takeaway haha). We got some Hotel Chocolat chocolate which I love. It is honestly my favourite chocolate, though it is a bit pricey! :( And today, we went out for a meal at our favourite mexican restaurant which was delicious! My perfect weekend :) Hope everyone else had a good weekend!

Two Years

Tomorrow will be mine and Shane's two year anniversary of being together! :) It seems like only yesterday we started going out haha! It's amazing how fast time goes by. It's also amazing how Shane can only seem to jump with his tongue sticking out looking like a statue haha! It was so funny when I was looking through the pictures because every one he was jumping in it was the exact same pose - with the tongue haha! :) Oh I do love him! :)

I got this dress when we were doing the shopping for our college trip. This dress really stood out to me so I just picked it up and bought it (with discount from my friend as she works there) but when I got home and tried it on I wasn't really too sure on it and thought about taking it back. Then I realised, when you buy with your discount card, you need to use it when you take it back so I just had to keep it instead and I'm really glad I did! I just love all of the colours in it, though I'm not too keen on the sleeves so I think I may be trying my hand at using the sewing machine again at some point haha :) Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Facebook

I'm not usually one to post things like this, but I thought since I made all the effort of making it and whatnot I will do a little post haha! :) So if you want, you can follow the blog on Facebook, where I'll be posting outfit pictures, links to my new posts and just random little things (such as me and shane being stupid when we're bored hahah).

So you can follow the blog here :) Also, you can find me on twitter just here too. If you guys have any suggestions of great blogs to follow then just leave me a comment on this post and I'll check them out because I really need some more great inspiration to fill my days up whilst Shane is at work hah!

Denim

Its really strange how I've been incorporating a lot more red/burgandy into my wardrobe lately. I've never really been one for red as it doesn't usually suit me but I've already got 3 red/burgandy coloured things in my wardrobe within the past month. And to top it off, I've even dyed my hair red! Maybe I'm going crazy haha!

I actually didnt even realise how well the cardigan and top would go when I bought them in Birmingham a few weeks ago. I saw the cardigan first and just fell in love with the colour so of course had to buy it. I had noticed this top on the Topshop website and hunted down in store for it not even realising I'd just bought the perfect cardigan to go with it haha! I never really wear denim as I just dont find it very comfortable but I thought I'd give these shorts a go. I can't believe that is coming from me who used to wear nothing but jeans haha! :) It's amazing how much can change in the space of a year!

Lakeside Sunsets

Sooo... my first post with red hair! At least you can see it better now! I absolutely love it - though I still get shocked when I look in the mirror and see red hair haha! What do you guys think?

I feel like I'm on repeat haha - this is one of my other thrift finds :) I bet you can guess the rest haha!? It did have a little border along the bottom, but I just wasn't a fan of that so gave it the chop - now I absolutely love it! I love how it goes so well with my top too! Also this belt is one of my thrift finds too - I just love the colour of it since I dont really have any coloured belts - only black and brown, so it fits in perfectly!

Ooh, btw, I created a facebook page for the blog, so please go like it! :)

Turquoise

*These photos were taken before my hair was dyed, just incase you were wondering haha*
I am really bad at thinking up title names haha! Nevermind. So this skirt is my favourite thrift find! Like the dress in my last post, it was also ankle length (everything I bought was) and I was actually considering keeping this one at that length but it just really didnt suit my body so I gave it the chop too - along with all the other finds haha! :) I just love the bright turquoise colour and the little golden pattern that runs throughout it! Perfect!

I got the top in the Topshop sale for almost 50% off. It had loads of little dirt marks on it but from £45 reduced to £25 I couldn't say no - especially since I'd been eyeing it up just a few days before at full price haha :) All the marks came off so I'm so happy with it! I wish I'd have gotten a better picture of the detailing along the top.

New Hair

And a preview of Friday's outfit post! :) Yes I'm getting that prepared haha! At the rate we're going we'll have all of next week's done before the end of this week haha! Ahh well, I'm not complaining - at least I've got posts ready to go for when it rains/I can't be bothered going out haha! :)

Sooo....here's my new hair! I decided after my post on Sunday that I should just go ahead and dye it. The colour on the box was a lot more 'ginger' than the colour its turned out. I wanted it more of a natural colour so I'm hoping it's going to fade a little more to that sort of colour, but I still really like it :)

Thrifted

Eee, I'm so excited to show one of my thrift finds from the US! On friday we actually managed to get out and take some pictures in the little bit of sunshine of the day just before we went off to meet our friends! When I got this dress, it was actually just above ankle length (not quite calf length - it was weird) so I shortened it and I am seriously in love! I don't really have many things this colour, but I just love it.

I found the cardigan in the Mango sales last week when I went shopping and just fell in love with the colour - and it goes perfectly with the dress and another top I bought last week hehe! I can't wait to wear both of these in the autumn. Also, I love the clock necklace - it's two clocks haha! I just think thats amazing! I set the top time to Arizona Time hehe (if you havent guessed I'm still missing it) and the bottom one obviously to UK time :) I haven't took it off since I bought it haha! Well, hope everyone had a good weekend.
