Let It Snow

Shane and I braved the cold today to go and get some shots of my outfit. We only took a little walk down to the village since it was so cold, then took some shots and walked back home haha! By the end of taking pictures my hands/legs/feet were completely numb.
Sorry for the darkness of the pictures. Shane and I have no idea how to change all the settings on the camera so he did his best to lighten it up as much as possible - snow just literally overpowers everything haha! Nevermind, they were better than before so I'm not complaining haha!
I got this skirt from H&M back in February I think and I've probably only wore it about three or four times, one being this time in the exact same place hah. I wasn't too sure on the colour of it, and I didn't really have much to go with it, and I've been looking for a simple black skirt similar to this for ages and not been able to find anything, so I decided to dye it black! I've never dyed anything before but it was so simple, although the stitching and lining is obviously a material that doesn't like dye because they're still grey haha! Nevermind, the stitching kinda adds to the skirt I think.
I'm not sure what to call this scarf thing, I think i've heard some people call it a snood, but whatever, i'll just stick with scarf haha! I love it, I'm not usually a scarf person because of all the wrapping and tangling that goes on and i just generally can't be bothered with it, but I like these. Since the weather's been so cold lately I decided to get one last night and I think I'll be living in it for the rest of the season. I actually want a grey one I saw in H&M so I might have to go back and buy that one too.

Top and Cardigan: Miss Selfridge || Skirt: H&M || Tights: Primark || Necklace: Accessorzie ||
Boots, Rings and Hair Bow: Dorothy Perkins

I didn't realise how much I actually wore today haha! I guess thats what the cold does to you? I must admit, I could probably have done with another pair of tights though. I also bought these tights last night from primark - I never buy anything from primark. I see loads of other people wearing things from there and some things just look completely tacky but some things actually look half decent, but whenever I go in I can never find anything. When llymlrs did a blog post about her new primark tights I decided to go have a look. I only bought one pair because I'm not really a fan of the quality of clothes from primark but for £2.00 I'd definately recommend these - they're just as good, if not better than any of the other tights I've bought from next and dorothy perkins.

I'm Back

Hi guys, I'm back from my little unplanned break from blogging. This last week has been crazy - thursday night, I came home from college and my eye just wouldn't stop watering and felt sooo gritty and sore so we got an appointment to the doctors on friday and I had conjunctivitis! How lovely I know, but nevermind, I'm on the mend now after a weekend of extreme pain and boredom. See I wear contact lenses like pretty much from the moment I wake up till the moment I go bed, and I don't have any glasses so I could hardly see all weekend. I swear my optician cursed me - I had an eye test a couple weeks ago and the optician told me off for not having glasses incase of infection then literally a week after, I get an infection haha! So I wasn't allowed to wear my contacts all weekend so my lovely mum bought me some glasses and they came today! What do you guys think? I'm still a little unsure of them just because I never wear glasses so it's kinda a shock but I'm sure I'll get used to them! :)

Glasses: Ray Bans

On another note, Shane and I put my christmas tree up tonight! I know it's not even december yet but whilst I was collecting my glasses I somehow pursuaded mum to get me some decorations for a tree for my room and I just couldn't wait to put it up! I'm getting so excited for christmas now - it's been snowing all weekend, my christmas tree is up and I've only got two weeks left of college till the break!
Hopefully, if all goes to plan I'll be back tomorrow with an outfit post! :)

In The Clouds

We were on the way to Rutland Water again today since we never really got a chance of walking across the dam last tuesday, when we drove down a hill and saw clouds beneath us! It was amazing, at the bottom of the hill we were in the thick fog of the clouds. It went on for about 10 minutes of driving till we got back above the clouds. I've never seen anything like this apart from in an aeroplane, it was just so weird. And to top that off, it was actually really warm today!
I honestly have no idea why I look so moody/like I'm falling asleep in most of these pictures. It really annoys me when I look all moody for some reason. Maybe it's my hair since I literally couldn't be bothered to straighten it today and as we were out walking for most of the day it just started falling out and irritating me. Nevermind, just ignore my hair in the pictures haha! You may have noticed I've been living in this cardigan lately. It's just so comfy and pretty much goes with most of the clothes in my wardrobe, like this dress which I bought about 2 years ago and wore the day after I bought it, then never wore it again.

Dress: Dorothy Perkins || Cardigan: H&M || Tights: H&M and Topshop || Shoes: Minnetonka

I'm actually wearing two pairs of tights in this outfit for two reasons. The first is because this outfit wasn't actually what I was planning on wearing - but the first looked like I was going out to an important business meeting so I scrapped it but couldn't be bothered changing my pale pink tights (H&M) so just stuck another pair (the black dotted ones) from topshop on the top so see if they were any good with my outfit then just decided to keep them both on haha! (I'm so lazy). And the second reason kind of came from the first being that it's warmer with two pairs on haha!

I don't really have much more to say apart from are there any features you'd like to see on my blog? I've suddenly gained lots of new followers (thank you so much for wanting to read my blog!!) but I feel like I'm kind of boring doing only one post a week? I really want to do more than one, but tuesday's are my only free day so I want to do something else throughout the week? Any suggestions?

Northern Downpour

Oh. My. Gosh. Today has been such a crazy funny day. We decided to go to Rutland Water for a little walk across the dam and some outfit photos. It's been absolutely freezing the past couple days so I finally got the chance to wear my jacket!
All morning the weather was great. We go out and theres a massive downpour of rain halfway through taking pictures. I put my jacket on the rocks whilst we were taking the pictures, then took a few and decided to carry on walking across the dam for a bit - till it started pouring down with rain , which at that point I realised I'd lost my phone. I ran all the way back to where I threw my jacket down and Shane called my phone which we could hear ringing somewhere in the rocks!! I thought it was definately gone, but we lifted a couple of the rocks and found it thank god! After that we literally legged it back to the car soaking wet (thank god I had my umbrella with me) and sat there for a bit. It didn't stop so we drove round to the car park at the other side and the rain kinda died off a bit so we got the chance to take a few more rushed photos.

Cardigan: H&M || Dress: Topshop || Tights: Next || Shoes: River Island

I got this dress yesterday when I returned one of the tops to Topshop that I bought pretty much a month ago on my trip to London. I thought it was a dress (I never tried it on because the queue's for the changing rooms were horrendous) but when I got it home and tried it on it was actually like a really short tunic. Then I lost the reciept and apparently topshop only exchange things then and there for the same value or more as what you're returning. I hate shopping under pressure, but I ended up buying this dress, a blouse and some tights so I was quite happy.
I love this dress. It's got a little peter pan collar and the material is so soft. The only problem is it's not very thick so a gust of wind comes and your flashing to everyone around. Even with my jacket over most of the dress it was still really bad.
On the way back after finishing taking the pictures, the sun decided to come out! I swear the weather just didnt want us to take any pictures haha! And on top of that the camera lense has got all condensation on it so I'm hoping it's going to be ok? I was planning on trying to get another outfit post in tomorrow but I'm going to Southampton Uni open day which I'm quite excited about but I probably wont end up getting back till about 9 :(.
(This is how most of our day was spent haha!)

Wakerly Woods

There's something about these woods that I just love. Whenever I go to any other woods I feel so scared and on edge, but for some strange reason I feel so safe here. Maybe it's from when we used to come here when I was a child and I'd just run around playing hide and seek with my parents and brother.
Since I never got to do an outfit post on what I wore to London the other day, I decided to go out to the woods with Shane and take some pictures. It's finally starting to feel like autumn now, I mean we've had the colder weather for months now, but the leaves are finally starting to turn and fall off.
I was so happy when I found this dress in H&M last week. I have the same one in black with polka dots, but when I saw this I just had to buy it. It's seriously so comfy as if you're not even wearing it. I'll probably be living in this dress for a while.

Dress: H&M || Cardigan: H&M || Tights: Next || Shoes: Minnetonka || Jewellery: ASOS and Topshop

I really don't feel ready to be going back to college tomorrow. It's been really nice having the past week off, but I'll get into it when I'm back I guess. I'm soo excited, hopefully by the end of this week, my application for university will be sent off. I'm just waiting on my teacher's writing my reference then it's ready to be sent. I have to have interviews for two of the courses I'm applying to so hopefully they go good. Wish me luck haha!
