The Cat Lady

I'm really happy that I actually managed to get some outfit pictures today! Since I've started back at college, I usually don't have the time to take pictures (other than Monday's and Tuesday's when I'm off) but especially not on Thursday's since I don't finish till 5. But today, I managed to get some even if the sun was starting to go down already. I'm really not looking forward to Shane going back to college on Monday, since we don't actually know what his timetable will be like till then - I'm really hoping he's not in on Mondays or Tuesday's since it's the only days we will have together, and when the winter nights start, I have no idea when I will get the chance to take outfit shots :(

When we got to the bridge, I saw this cat sitting on it and it just came running over to us haha! Honestly, it was the friendliest cat I've ever seen (apart from my Toffee obviously haha) but it would not leave me alone! Looking back through all the shots, I think there must have been about 2 or 3 pictures that this cat wasn't in! I'm actually surprised it didn't follow me home haha!

I really like my outfit today. It was actually thrown together about 20 minutes before I had to leave for college this morning. I had no idea what to wear, and realised I hadn't really worn this dress that I pestered my mum into buying for me so decided to try and style it up. After I had the dress I just chose the first cardigan that I found and I actually put some different shoes on (even if they are the exact same ones, just in grey haha)!

I have no idea why, but lately I've been obsessing over mocassins! I really want some Minnetonka Thunderbird ones, but they cost £55 and I do not have that sort of money haha! I was hoping that I could get my parents to buy me them for looking after my brother whilst they were away but I got some shampoo and conditioner instead haha! (it's really not as bad as it sounds - im a shampoo and conditioner snob and the only stuff my hair likes is Tigi, and I've had no money to buy any lately so I've been living off of Treseme which my hair does not agree with - so they bought me some which I'm soooo pleased about :) I can have nice hair again - Thanks mum :). Maybe for Christmas? Haha!

Oooh I just thought I would add this amazing picture! I was sitting at my laptop last night and turned around and saw the most amazing sunset! So I took like a hundred pictures of it! I just think the colours are so amazing! It was like the brightest yellow glow over the sky then all purple and pink! I do love sunsets! 

I Walk A Lonely Road

Oh my gosh! These past two days have been sooo hot! I can't believe how much the weather has changed from being all cold and autumny last week to the heat we've had at the beginning of the week. Yesterday my car read 25C! I can't even remember a summer day when the temperature was that hot haha! I actually didn't realise how hot it was till Shane and I were walking down to take the pictures. I was standing there melting haha!

I absolutely loveee this dress! I got this a couple weeks ago and I reallyyy hoped I liked it when it got here - and I love it! I really can't stop wearing it. It's amazingly comfy and the material is so soft. The only thing that is annoying about it is the material creases sooo badly. It actually comes with it's own tie belt, but I added my own brown belt since I thought they both looked good together.

I'm so proud of myself - I actually put some different earrings in haha! I usually just forget about all the earings that I actually own and never ever wear any of them, but I made an effort to put some in - I just wish I got a close up now hah! 

Also, I'm absolutely addicted to these boots. I can't actually walk in them (any sort of heels and I'm falling over) but these ones kind of hurt the back of my ankle so I just put up wearing them for the pictures haha! I'm hoping that I'll wear them in at the same time so I can actually go out and wear them.

Isn't Shane soo cute? I think this is actually the first picture I've uploaded of Shane with his new hair - which I cut hehe! I love cutting hair :). We were kinda in shock when I first cut it because he asked me to trim it for him - but I kinda cut a lot off haha! Nevermind, I think it actually looks a lot better now than it did before :).

Whilst we were out we decided to go for a little walk down by the church. They have sheep in the field and I loveeee sheep! I actually asked my parents if they would get me a sheep a few years ago haha! I don't know where I expected them to put it (maybe in my back garden) but they wouldn't let me get one haha! (Maybe it was a good idea) but they let me get some chickens instead! We actually found Lenny (a bantam) running across the middle of the road and stopped to save her from her death. It was such a funny story, my mum literally just pulled over on the side of the road at the back of our house, called her over, then picked her up and threw her in the car! It sounds much worse than it actually was, but we were on the waiting list for some chickens so had all the stuff for them anyway, but we put adverts up for her owners but got nothing so we just kept her! She's the most friendly chicken ever!

A Little Inspiration?

Ok, so today is a kind of different post! I loveee photography. Like - let me loose with a camera and thats me haha! Although I've never had any photography lessons or whatever I completely enjoy amature photograpy. I actually took some outfit pictures this morning, and I've been debating whether to post them today or tomorrow. So I decided that I will post them tomorrow to split it up a bit since I don't know if I'll get a chance for outfit pictures till Monday!

So, till tomorrow, here's some random pictures that I took whilst out and about on different trips! :) I absolutely love taking pictures of  flowers! I mean honestly, who doesn't? I think Shane actually took the one with the bee on the red flower! 

I think I have an obsession with wood haha! I didn't notice till now, but I have a lotttt of random pictures of wood hehe! I think its just the texture and detail on the wood that I love. When Shane and I went to Lyveden New Beild last month, I saw these log's and just had to take some pictures! 

I loveeee my cats! Toffee and Coffee - don't you just love their names haha! And I thought I'd add a random picture of a monkey too! :) I have an obsession with monkeys! I have loads of hanging monkey teddies, and even some massive monkey slippers - they're soooo soft!

New Clothes

I am sooo happy to be back. After going to Rutland Water last monday, I ended up catching a cold/throat infection! I knew that was a bad idea haha! Nevermind, I'm feeling much better this week. I hate not updating the blog, like the whole of last week after getting sent home from college/being off sick from work I was just dying to go out and take some outfit pictures of my new clothes. So today, I eventually got the chance!

These are the clothes that I bought that maxed out my storecard haha! I got a couple other things but they'll be in different posts. After looking at the pictures, I've decided that I don't actually like this jumper, so I'm probably going to send it back. It's so baggy and the shape's not exactly flattering on my body haha! Maybe if i was a stick insect then yea, it could look alright hehe.

I loveee these boots and the bag! I wasn't too sure on the boots when they got here since I found some other ones after I ordered these that were so much nicer but I decided to keep them anyway. They're not exactly the comfiest shoes, but my feet hate shoes anyway so I'll just have to suffer haha! 

The Rutland Belle

So today, Shane and I decided to go to Rutland Water for a little picnic and adventure. Being me, I didn't check the weather forecast and before we went my Mum told me it was supposed to rain so I decided to take my new dome umbrella that hasn't had the chance to be used yet. 

When we got there it was sooo cold, like middle of winter cold! Ok, probably not that bad but it was cold - and windy haha (shane somehow managed to only wear a t-shirt!!!). Pretty much all of my pictures are me pulling crazy faces because it was soo windy. I couldn't even put my umbrella up - Shane kept saying I'd be like Mary Poppins it was that bad haha! So we had to walk back to the car in the rain. I wasn't impressed.

This is one of my ModCloth dresses I bought a couple of months ago. It's really great to style for both winter and summer so I'm so glad I bought it. I got bored the other day and decided to try and style up some outfits for posts and I came up with this one and another one. I didn't think they'd actually turn out ok, but I like this one :) hopefully the other one works out ok too haha!

I was so terrible over the weekend again and maxed out my storecard!!! Yes a £250 storecard maxed out over a weekend! God knows how I'm going to be able to pay that off and save for my holiday next year. I bought some shoes and a jumper from Topshop and some shoes and a bag from Dorothy Perkins to go with my new dress I bought last week. I can't wait for them to come. I'll most definatly doing an outfit post as soon as everything gets here haha!

Meet Up With Friends: Outfit Number Two

So last week I met up with one of my best friends, Alysha and we decided to take some outfit pictures.  I posted the other ones here and saved these ones for when I started back at college since I had no idea when I'm going to be able to fit any outfit shoots in. I've figured out that for the next couple weeks I can manage Wednesday afternoon's and thats pretty much about it (other than Monday's and Tuesdays haha) so I'm really hoping that Shane's uni timetable will be alright :). 

It's so weird to actually be back at college. After having nearly 4 months off it's weird to get back into a routine again - mainly getting up at 7 in the morning haha! I'm used to getting up at like 9-10ish so it's a complete shock to my system. Thank god I'm only timetabled till 2:30 on Wednesdays.

These pictures are sooo bright! It was so sunny out that day and the sun just seemed to reflect off of my shirt haha! I got this shirt a couple months ago and to be honest I've hardly ever worn it. The sleeves are a little tight on my arms which makes it kinda uncomfortable to wear for more than like half an hour haha! I reallyyy need to get my but to the gym but I'm so lazy.

I was so bad this morning. I went and ordered a new dress and a jumper on my storecard since I actually have no money. I've been swooning over them for the past couple days and just caved in. It really shows - these early mornings are not good for me haha! I'm trying to save for a trip to London next month to meet an old Au Pair of ours from Spain who I haven't seen for about 5 years, and we definately have a shopping trip planned, so I'm really hoping I can save enough for that.

Foxton Locks: Outfit

Last week, Shane and I went with my parents to Foxton Locks. I did a post on the trip there, but never posted any outfit pictures. So here are is what I wore to Foxton Locks last week.

I got this top about two years ago. The colour has faded quite a lot (it used to be more turquoise) since I've worn it sooo much haha! I literally used to wear this top and a pair of jean's everywhere, then as soon as it was washed, I'd stick it back on with jeans haha! I'm so terrible with things like that. I buy something new then fall in love with it and completely forget that I own any other clothes for a couple weeks/months till I get something new haha!

My mum was the photographer for these outfit pictures haha! She was really enjoying it to start off then she would take like 10 pictures and be like OK lets go and I'm like what?! we haven't even started yet haha! I'm so glad I have Shane there to take my pictures for me, even if he does moan the whole time haha! :)

I'm so glad I saved some outfit pictures, because I think the weather's starting to get worse again! Hopefully I'll still be able to go out and get a few this week, what with me starting back at college and all. I really don't know how it will all work out since I work alllll weekend and don't get the chance to get out to take pictures. I'm really hoping Shane's timetable is alright when he goes back to uni so we can fit it in haha!

Meet Up With Friends: Outfit Number One

So today, I finally got to meet up with one of my best friends, Alysha. I haven't seen her since she moved to Uni in London last September. It was great to finally get the chance to meet up. Of course I persuaded her to take some outfit pictures for my blog! :) When I first got to her house, we had a little rummage through her wardrobe and I found this black lacy dress so I just had to try it on hehe! We ended up taking two sets of outfit pictures one with the black dress and another with what I was actually wearing haha! 

I really wish I'd have got some close up's of the detail in this dress since it's so pretty! It's really comfy too, I think I might have to go on the hunt for a black lacy dress now haha! All the ones I've seen so far are the body-con ones and I really don't have the body for that what with my humungous hips/legs haha, so I think I'll buy one a couple sizes bigger so it will be like a normal dress hehe!

She had the nicest brown heel shoes ever, which I've been on the hunt for but with my weird feet none actually fit me, but these ones were sooo comfy! I was actually wanting to wear them but with my black belt they looked a bit weird, I wish she had a brown belt haha!

It was so fun being able to take outfit pictures of someone other than myself for a change haha! I think she really enjoyed it hehe! I'll have my other outfit pictures up sometime next week, probably when I go back to college since I have no idea when I'm going to be able to fit outfit shoots in! I'm really not looking forward to it haha!

If you haven't noticed, my other posts are a bit messed up haha! For some reason, I can't just stick with one blog layout for longer than what seems like 2 days right now! I'm being too fussy haha! So this morning I decided to take away a column so the middle section is wider now which has screwed all my pictures up as I resize them to fit with the text, and theres no way I'm re-uploading all of the pictures, so they'll just have to stay like that haha!

Foxton Locks

So, tonight my parents decided that they wanted to go to Foxton Locks and invited Shane and I along with them. It's this place where canal boats get raised up a hill using doors 'locks' by flooding one compartment with water then driving forward and doing the same thing again until they are at the top. Being me, it took me a while to actually understand how it works haha! 

These pictures are looking down from the middle of the locks. We must have looked like such tourists taking pictures every 2 seconds haha! It was suchhhh a lovely night tonight whilst the sun was setting. There was just this amazing glow with a slight mist in the distance giving the air a slight chill to it. 

We then went on a little walk around the canal and saw quite a few boats tied up for the night. I think it's amazing how people can actually live in these canal boats. As we were walking past, I kept having a little nosey as to what the people inside were doing and it's seriously so crazy how cramped it is in them. I guess the length makes up for how wide it is. I'm totally up for living in a tiny house but I think it would be another story living in a canal boat. One of my old teachers lives in one and she loves it. I guess it's not for everyone haha! Has anyone actually stayed in a canal boat? 

I just loveee these last two pictures of Shane and I. I saw the glow whilst my mum had walked over there and got a couple shots of her and my dad together then got them to take some pictures of both of us. It was actually really nice to have someone to take pictures of both Shane and I rather than just one of us at a time haha! I think my mum actually enjoyed being a photograper for a while, before she got a bit bored haha! Thanks mum :D xx
