I saw on someone's blog that they were making a patchwork quilt (can't remember who's though) and it got me wanting to make myself a patchwork duvet cover. I just love anything sort of old english country cottage style (Laura Ashley has got to be my favourite homeware store ever!) so I decided to give it a go. I've never actually sewn anything before apart from some triangular juggling balls in like year 7 (about age 11) with a LOT of help from my teacher and have no idea of how to even use a sewing machine (doesn't help that the one I have must be like 30 years old and looks even more confusing than a regular sewing machine to me haha). But I'm going to give it a go! :D Hopefullyyyy it turns out ok and I can actually use it since i just spent £50 on material!!!
I really have no idea how this is going to turn out, but I'll update you on my progress (or not depending on what happens with it haha). If anyone has any tips on how to make a patchwork quilt or duvet, pleaseeee let me know :) thanks.
