Foxton Locks

Shane and I like to go here quite a lot for a little walk around the canal and locks. I always remember my mum taking me here as a kid with my brother and watching all the boats on the canal during the summer. We went there for a walk this past weekend while the weather wasn't too great, but we still had a great afternoon out and we actually got to see a couple of boats moving through the locks which is so amazing (but slow) to watch if you get the chance. I'd actually love the chance to go on a little canal boat holiday and just travel around for a week or so to all the different places - though I'm not sure I'd enjoy going through the locks. How is your week so far?

Lately

Just thought I'd pop in to share some pictures of what we've been up to lately. We had such lovely weather over the bank holiday weekend last week so we took advantage of that and went out for a couple of walks which was nice, especially after what felt like a never ending winter. We always see this fluffy cat when we go for our walks, and it was even in a few of my old outfit posts - its such a friendly cat. Then theres the other one with the chubby cheeks (that we named cheeky) that keeps popping round our house. We can't quite figure out if its male or female yet as it runs away as soon as it sees you coming. Our cats don't seem to mind it though. Hope you're having a lovely weekend! What have you been up to lately?

Day Trip: Wimpole Hall Farm

While Shane and I were at Wimpole Hall the other week, we took a nice walk around their walled gardens and popped into their farm. Their gardens were amazing with so much space to grow fruit, veg and flowers which inspired me to start growing my own. The farm was really nice too where you could walk around the different animals and pet them. I loved the goat that just sat there munching on hay - he was the cutest and super friendly. I loved the little lambs too - its so nice being able to see all these animals close up. I've always wanted to have sheep, but we obviously don't have enough room in our garden for them so we ended up getting chickens instead haha!
